This was a Crazy Weekend for our little Family, but it really has me reflecting on my life, and the life of my children. Most of you who read this didn't know, but We were expecting our third child. We have been SUPER Excited to have a perfect addition to our family, but life doesn't always go as you plan. Everything happens for a reason, and for one reason or another, this baby wasn't ready yet to join our family. Friday I went into the Doctor for a checkup (i had been lightly spotting, and just wanted to make sure everything was alright) and I found out our baby's heart wasn't beating. Devistated is really the only word that can describe how I was feeling. Shock, Sadness, Fear, Depressed (okay Lots of words can describe how I was Feeling) I Was all alone, because I told Adam it wasn't a big deal, and he really needed to go to work, and I was in Shock~ I called Adam, and of coarse he drove straight there to be at my side. I have a weird blood type, so they made me go to the hospital and do a bunch of tests, and do two more ultrasounds, just to make sure that our baby was truely gone. They told me I could go home and check back w/ the doctor after the weekend, and my "miscarriage" would hopefully pass on its own. Well things have never ran smoothly for us, and this was no exception. I ended up Bleeding...alot. All nite. I bled so much that I passed out. Like totally out. I woke up to find Adam and my mom standing in front of me in the bathroom, trying to wake me up. They say I was out for five or ten minutes, but who knows...time seems to pass slow when things are crazy and scary around you. I will spare you the details, but lets just say, I was thankful my babies were sleeping as they loaded me up in the ambulance and rushed me to the hospital. Everything after that is kind of a blur....I am home now. Grateful to be home, Thankful for the Help, and the prayers I know that I have recieved. Thankful for My Husband, who has been at my side...Waking up at least three times a nite, to make sure I have taken my medicine...making sure I am comfortable , making sure I am here. Thankful for my mom...Thankful she heard my plea for help, and Thankful that she was able to be here to help w/ my kids, thankful for everything...But More then Anything I am Grateful that I am still here...Grateful that I was given the responsibility to care for this perfect little family. I think sometimes it takes scary things to WAKE you UP! Make you realize the blessings that you have been blessed with are truely BLESSINGS...and you never know when things are going to happen, and your "blessings" can be taken away. There are so many distractions in life, things that take you away from the things in life that are really important. To me my family is everything. I hope that I can live my life in a way that shows my kids and my husband they are my priority. They are my everything. and sometimes Eternity doesn't feel long enough. Anyways~ That is my story...Probably should have waited until I was off the Pain Meds to write it, but I just want it written down how much I LOVE my family. How Much I love my Father in Heaven, and how Grateful I am that He was looking out for us this weekend. Losing my baby makes me Sad, But I know that Things happen for a reason, and I am Truely Blessed.

New Year

Happy New Year!! 2011 was a Great YEAR for us and we are looking forward to 2012! This year our family made a move from KC and are back in Springfield...Adam started a new job on the Pensmore, which is the biggest house in the COUNTRY, and we are enjoying being close to my family for a little bit~ Addisyn and Gavin are both thriving. Addie is learning her letters and trying to read and spell words. She recently wrote a book about the birth of our Savior, which was the cutest thing ever. She started pre-school, but really didn't like it, so we pulled her out and are working w/ her at home. She is so smart, and really looking forward to kindergarten this year. She Loves playing w/ her friends, especially her BEST FRIEND...Gavin. She loves animals, and loves telling jokes and playing games. She is such a blessing and we love her so much.
Gavin is our very very active little boy. He loves dancing and wrestling. He has sweet moves, and taught himself to do a cartwheel flip thing...Gav loves to tell stories, mostly things he makes up, and is obsessed w/ CARS....still. He is my snuggly boy and I LOVE IT!! Gavin just graduated out of nursery and is so proud to be a sunbeam....
I have been busy trying to keep these kids busy. I love being their mom! Since back in Springfield, I have been doing more hair and have made some fun new friends. We have girls nites regularly and it is fun to go hang out w/ out the family sometimes :) Me and Adam have been looking for a place to live and trying to figure out which area we want to settle into. Looking around Nixa, or Republic, but we will have to see what is going to work for us. We have made it a goal to get to the temple more often, and are excited to go this weekend!! (KID FREE) We love the time we get to spend together and we are so thankful for our Eternal Family. The blessings we have felt this year have been overwhelming and I don't know what we would have done w/ out the gospel and the examples of those around us and our children. We are definatly looking forward to this year and the blessing that are in store for us, if we strive to do what is right. Life is so GooD~~

One of THOSE days

Mom's out there...Do you ever have one of those days where literally NOTHING goes as planned... This morning we woke up to a little bit of snow on the ground...which means, I refuse to drive ANYWHERE....(my mistake) I called Addie's school...told them I wasn't bringing her...Made White Chicken Chili in the Crockpot (I am now not expecting it to be good) Cleaned the front of the house... Bathed the kids, Took a shower, waxed my eyebrows (sick I totally had a uni brow)...Feeling like I accomplished alot...Then Nap Time...My personal FAVORITE time of the day...well Gavin didn't feel like taking a nap...he wanted to trash the bedroom i just spent half an hour cleaning...so I Layed down w/ him...and Fell asleep...ONLY TO WAKE UP AN HOUR LATER to Smashed chips all different kinds in every bowl the kids could reach..Spilt Juice all over the kitchen I just cleaned...You know typical Tea Party....Cars all over the floor, (at our house that is always a given) so I of coarse Lecture them, then join the party and we eat chips and salsa...Then I start the clean for the second time of the day...Addie is off in her own world then comes in the kitchen to tell me Gavin is "playing" in the wax...I go in the bathroom, it is all over the counter all over him, all over everything! I threw away EVERYTHING...He is in time out...(until his dad gets home) and I am trying to process what and when my day turned totally crazy...Not to mention I paid one of our bills w/ a CLOSED ACCOUNT...So I have been on the Phone ALL day trying to fix that mess...AHHHHHHH....I think it is time for me to go tan before I lose my MIND...Twenty minutes and five bucks for some peace...I think YES

Skipping Rocks

Teaching our kiddo's the importance of hard work~~~ This weekend our kids picked walnuts out on the farm :) They are saving there money for a puppy, and I told them as soon as they're saving jar was full they could get there puppy (it will probably take years) but they worked really hard and picked enough walnuts to get $6.36 We are so proud of our hard little workers :)

Three Years ago today we were blessed w/ the cutest little baby BOY in the whole world!! Yep, today is Gavin's birthday!! He has been such a blessing in our home. I thought I would write a few Facts about Gavin Today---
Gavin is obsessed w/ Lightning McQueen and the Movie Cars, this is actually his second birthday that he wanted "themed" w/ Cars. Anytime we go out anywhere he spots anything Cars related, he likes to wear "cars'' clothes (which i used to oppose, but hey pick your battles right?!)
He Loves his Family. Oh my gosh this boy is the best snuggler in the whole world, I love it!!! He always askes to snuggle or get in our bed, He Loves is sister and Has to be doing whatever she is doing! He loves riding in his dad's truck and just being w/ his family
This Boy can dance!! He likes break dancing at the Mall, or dancing w/ Tailynn one of his best friends at any reception we are both at they are always found dancing...Gavin is in nursery and this year has really learned to control his anger and not beat everyone up...Yep he is my fiesty child~ He has finally hit a growth spurt and is getting taller!! Finally in 3 T jeans instead of the 18 month shorts he wore all summer :)
Anyways I will add more after his party tonite at the Park!!! Like Pictures :) anyways just wanted to write a little bit about my favorite BoY!!!

I don't know why, but today I am overwhelmed w/ GRATITUDE for MY FAMILY...and on this post I am using my family to describe not just my AMAZING Husband, and my TWO CRAZY kiddo's, but I am also including ALL my SISTERS and BROTHERS (inlaws ALWAYS included) , Both my and Adam's parents,COUSINS and my Friends who we consider just as much part of our family... I have had a little bit of time today to reflect on the people who have influenced my life and my childrens lives the most.

Last weekend, down in Springfield we went on a "girls nite" totally kids FREE...(13 of us) We didn't do anything spectacular, food, ice-cream, and just being out w/ no kids, was SOOO GREAT! Some of the girls there I don't talk w/ on a daily basis, but when we do talk, it seems like we have never left eachother. I LOVE IT. I am so thankful for positive influences in my life...Positive examples that make me want to be a better mom, wife and friend.

I was the Oldest daughter growing up and I ALWAYS wanted an older sister. After me and Adam were married SIX Years AGO, I literally gained FIVE older sisters, I am so thankful that they are in my life...Co is w/ me here in KC and Seriously she is one of the biggest blessings in my life...She is the older sister I think I was always meant to have. I would Literally be lost w/ out the Shy Family here in KC, and I hope our kids ALWAYS have eachother. There is something about our families that just FIT~ Co, if you are reading this I hope you and Bill both know how much we SERIOUSLY appretiate EVERYTHING that you guys do...we probably don't tell you THANKS enough...Just saying

Since me and Adam have been married I have gained 3 1/2 more sister in laws (My little brother is getting married next weekend) and it is AWESOME to have such a strong support system...Plus I have my sister BREANNE...She is on here way to my house right now, and I feel like she is my other half. She has been away at school, and I have definatly MISSED her!! I hope I have always been a big sister that she can be proud of. I LOVE spending time w/ my sisters, I Feel like they know WHO i am and HELP me to be a better me... I LOVE MY FAMILY...

Anyways I KNOW this post is completly Random...but this is what happens when you husband is out of town, and you can't sleep w/ out him here and you randomly pick up the computer and start typing...

I added a couple pictures because I HATE it when people post lots of words and you don't feel like reading and you just want something to look at...One is a picture of Addie and her cousin Maddie (named after Addisyn because she is so awesome) That is my cousin Stacy's Baby, One is a close up of Gavin's Amazing Smile...One day he will probably get BEST SMILE in his Class...And one is of me and my sister w/ my grandma...She is one of the most AMAZING women in my life...I Grew up w/ a HUGE amount of respect for my grandparents...I seriously (not even joking) thought I was their favorite, and I Betcha if my grandpa was still alive he would probably still say I was...just saying....But yeah~

Summer

So I really haven't been updating my blog as much as I should be, because I have been putting most of my pictures on My Facebook, or the kids pictures on Addie's Art (Addie's facebook page) But So far this has been a really FUN summer!! This last weekend we went to the lake w/ Parents, My little brother Travis and his fiance Daphne and Our Little Family...WE HAD A BLAST!! I attempted wakeboarding and Finally got up for about two seconds, but it totally still counts, I can't wait to do it again...Adam was able to get up the FIRST ATTEMPT! (Pretty impressive ) and the kids were both able to get out on the tube!! It was so much FuN! We also went to a Cardinals Game w/ Matt and Katie and there little baby Brooklyn! She is freaking adorable. What a GREAT and MUCH NEEDED little get away. Usually we when go to Springfield I work the whole time, but this trip was a little longer so I was able to space all my appointment out...SO it was AWESOME! Seriously Thanks to all out Family out in Springfield for making this little getaway PERFECT! We are so blessed to have such on awesome Family!! Camping and Fishing

We decided to take the kids camping, before it gets to HoT! It was COLD! At nite anyway, but we have a Blast hanging out with our Family. Dennis and Connie came up to our campsite and helped us set up, It was fun for the kids to get to go hiking and just be w/ their grandparents! I am looking forward to going again, SOON! I LOVE my family and I seriously am trying to enjoy every second I have w/ them at each stage in their lives, They grow up so quick!....I went back to work a little over a month ago and I realize how much they do change every single Day! ...*side note, Gavin came w/ Adam to pick me up and work and his toe's were painted w/ purple sparklie polish...They say Jadyn did it ( Adam was supposed to be watching the kids :) Today the missionaries came over and Gav told them he was a girl, and showed them his toes....NICE....That was totally random, but That is what has been going on in our family!

Joplin Tornado

So I am sure everyone has already heard about the devastating tornado in Joplin Missouri. My Dad and Brother went down there yesterday and said all the horrible pictures really don't do it justice. My Dad Emailed me some pictures and me and Addie were going through them for the First time...She said OH NO MOM did all those people have basements?!....I am so blessed to be in a home where my family can feel safe. This is definatly a time to count your blessings. There is always someone who is worse off then you are. Today I am trying to be GRATEFUL for the blessings in my life. Mainly, My Family :)

We had a Tornado Warning in Kansas City~ I haven't really heard anything, but I am pretty sure we didn't have any serious Damage. I was a work and Adam and the Kids picked me up and brought me to Co's~ I figure if something is going to happen I want to be close to all the people up here that we LOVE the Most...Here is a picture someone took of our City, I think it is beautiful :)

Scripture Study

Sunday Adam took the kids to Church by himself, I stayed home (Strep) and so I thought I would listen to one of the Conference talks on DVR... I don't remember who the talk was given by but he read a poem about Christ and His Sheep. It talked about how important it was for not only the "Lambs" to follow God, but How the Sheep are just as if not more than Important, Because the Lambs will end up following there Sheep...(probably not explaining this right, just listen to the Saturday Session of Conference) anyways it got me to thinking about the example we are setting as parents. I love my kids, and I know I can be doing a much better job of teaching my kids of our Savior Jesus Christ. Well we decided a good place to start was reading our scriptures as a family. Both kids have their own Book of Mormon, so they can follow along. Addie stays on the same page as us and turns the pages whenever we do. Today she noticed that some of my verses were marked and hers weren't, So she HAD to mark hers too...I thought it was freaking adorable...If you are wondering what Gavin was doing...He really hasn't caught on yet. But we are definatly going to keep on trying to set good examples for our kids. We love them way too much not to~~~

Family PIZZA Nite

This is the result of leaving the fish food next to the fish in the kids room at nite...How can you get mad at that little face, SO PROUD for feeding the fish, by himself...(of coarse we will never know if Addie "helped" she is pleading the 5th) The fish will definatly NEVER go hungry!

Let Me Start out by saying, I LOVE these Kids!! I LOVE how they can always find new ways to play together and How they Always keep eachother entertained. I can't imagine Life w/ out them. They are seriously the COOLEST Kids EVER! I am so grateful to be their MoM... Sometimes being a mom is the most stressful, exhausting, hardest job EVER! But I am so thankful That I have been Able to STAY w/ my kids~ I can't imagine missing a single Day of their CrAzY Adventures...I caught them today watching t.v. in their basket...when I got their attention, Of coarse Addie went into Full Entertaining mode. I Love this Shots, I LOVE the LOVE my kids have for eachother. I am one LUCKY girl :)

We went to UTAH this weekend TOO! It was SO GREAT to let the kids play w/ their Cousin SAYLOR! We always try to get a cute picture of the kids together, but it never works out...So this trip I didn't really try~ These are the kids in the "matching PJ's" My kids were so excited to see their cousin and their uncles and aunts, We wished they lived closer! Gavin ended up waking up in the middle of the nite w/ an ear infection keeping everyone on our side of the townhouse awake! (My brothers live right next door to eachother) But Overall it was Great to see everyone and Hang out for the day!! Thanks Justin and Janine for letting us stay at your house and Sorry for Gavin keeping you awake!

Little Brothers

This weekend we drove to Twin Falls Idaho to go to my Little Brothers basketball game. He plays for The SNOW BADGERS, It was so Fun to finally SEE him play, We have been listening to his games on the internet all season. My Brother is AWESOME. Not only at basketball but he has always just been AWESOME. We love him and we are so proud of him. My kids were excited to go the the game too. Thank goodness for my aunt Sharon, (She kept Addie entertained dancing on top of the bleachers) and for my mom (Gavin was "styling" her hair through the game) and for my dad (Lots of candy and snacks for both kids) So I was able to WATCH THE WHOLE GAME! The ended up losing the game, but my brother made 1st all Conference Team...We are ready for next Season already :)

Mormon Messages

Today Has been a raining day at home w/ sick kids. Adam Has been working the Home Show all weekend, and my mom and little sister left this morning. I was kinda feeling a little bit depressed (Don't forget totally rainy crappy weather) and I was feeling the need to feel inspired. I went to www.lds.org (Which I rarely go on) and clicked on the video messages. What a great tool we have to uplift us, even on these crappy days. There was the cutest video on patience w/ little kids, that really touched my heart. I tried to post it on here, but I can't figure out how. Anyways if you are reading this, and you have a couple minutes, totally look it up! I am going to challenge myself to limit my time on fb and use my extra time to seek inspiration in ways that can uplift my family. * I am posting this more as a challenge to myself, but If you look it up and find something interesting feel free to share :)

Talk About a FUN GRANDMA! My mom and my sister came up this weekend, My Kids Both spent the weekend w/ fevers, so we stayed at home and relaxed! First off, I would like to say I ALWAYS said my kids would not wear character clothes...I have personally always thought they were so gay...Why would you want to dress your kids like they were on seasame street?....BUT...GAV is obsessed w/ CARS. When we were out in Utah, my mom bought Gav his first pair of Cars pajamas...then for Christmas his second, and SUPRISE in the mail today he got his Third! On a normal day, I might have tried to hide them from him, but if you could have seen the look on his face. Completely PRICELESS... Personally I think it is totally acceptable to wear pj's everyday all day long :) and i guess now I have passed that trait on to my son. Addie on the other hand likes to wake up super early and get herself dresses. Usually she picks thinks out that "normal" people would pick, or even let their kids wear, but she knows what she likes, so we just go for it! I freaking LOVE these Kids! Best Kids EVER...Addie wanted me to take their pictures in their new PJ's...Thanks Grandma for #3...We LOVE you BUNCHES!

So we decided to hire a decorator for our living room. Actually we hired two! All the work is done by two local artists, who i personally think are the very best! They paint draw and hang all the work themselves, and they are fairly reasonable :) Maybe one day everyone can have some of their art work. I know i LOVE mine!

Addie is one of the biggest blessings in our Lives! She is so smart and so fun to be around. She Loves her family and her friends! She loves her "GORGEOUS TEACHER" (Sister Rich) and Loves going to her Sumbeam class. She teaches new things everday. She is EXCELLENT at reminding us to save our money and stay on track w/ our goals. We LOVE her so much and we are so thankful she is a part of our family!

Tonite I took the Kids to Christmas Park Day in Parkville! Oh My Gosh SOOOO CUTE! The Kids got to tell Santa what they wanted (addie a real pink kitty and gav cars) They went on a train and and hay ride! They had lots of fun! They even got to see a REAL HOT AIR BALLOON! So much FUN!

Today me and Addie Did Jillian Micheals Work out together! It was Honestly the most FUN I have EVER had working out!! She is such a little motivator! She used two remotes as her weights and HAD to wear a sports BRA...She was pretty PROUD! I love her so much and I am so grateful to have such an amazing little girl! Gav has a small fetish w/ shoes...He LOVES THEM! It doesn't matter who's shoes they are (besides his own) He is always trying on everyone's shoes! I have a picture of both me and Adam w/ our dad's shoes on when we were both about his age...So I guess he gets it from both of us :)

Halloween Weekend

This Halloween was Lots of FUN because both my kids new what was going on! On Saturday we went to Downtown Parkville and went trick or treating w/ all the cousins! I LOVE how FuN ALL the Cousins are, They are so entertaining! We are already missing Chrisy and her Kids!! Then On Sunday we went to Sherri's Halloween Party, Adam's phone takes better pictures then my camera so He will have to put some up soon!...Happy Halloween!

I am teaching my kids to never get in the car with and stranger, I asked Addie what to do if a stranger asks her to get in the car w/ them, her response " I would tell him my name is Addie, and then I would ask them what their name is...then they wouldn't be a stranger"...NOT GOOD! So we have been practicing yelling Stranger and screaming! I tried to catch a little bit on tape, but it ended up being kind of funny!

Last Monday Addisyn started dance classes, It was totally last minute so she went in her "street clothes" This week we were a little more prepared and she got to wear her dance outfit! It is so fun to watch the girls dance, Jayden is in the same class, Also today the kids had their very first dentist appt. we took a LITTLE trip out to Utah ( we were actually gone two weeks) but it was fun! We were able to go to the temple and just have fun spending time w/ the family. We hiked up the Y with both kids, which was exhausting, but addie learned her letter "Y"...so i guess it was worth it! We also hiked up Bridal Falls which was beautiful, until it started to rain~ We ended the trip by taking my little sister up to Idaho! We will definatly miss her, but I am so excited for all the FUN she is going to have! We love you Bre!

Family Vacation!!! Super FUN! We took a road trip down to Florida and went to DisNey and the BeAcH! The Shy Family met us down there! The Kids had a blast. Addie Loved seeing the princesses and Gav loves being Brens little shadow! On our way home we stopped in Alabama and saw a bunch of war planes ships and a submarine! It was FUN! and we are ready to start saving up for our next adventure!

For the Fourth Parade we went to Our Best Friends the Pohlsanders house and had a BBQ and watched to Willard Parade...the kids LOVED seeing their friends, and it didn't take long for the girls to change out of their patriotic clothes and play dress up, I got a couple pictures before the change!...Gavin LOVED seeing all the animals and the cars and tractors in the parade!...(side note: johnny makes the best hot dogs ever)

So I bought A Double stroller in February, and I bought the Extended warranty, I broke a little plastic piece off the food try buy accident, so I called on my warranty to have them send me out the piece, instead they told me to go buy a new stroller and they would send me the check for reimbursement of the first one, PLUS I get to keep my first stroller!
This time I bought a jogging stroller, which is cool because now I have BOTH!!! Awesome huh?! The top picture is Adam SUPER EXCITED pretending to RUN!

So Yesterday Adam and I started our P90X Three month Challenge...It is not as horrible as I thought It was going to be, Actually I kind of like it...The kids love doing the Pullups, especially Gavin, He can actually pull himself up by himself...I would post a Picture of myself doing a pull up, but anyone who knows me knows I totally can't do a single pull up...we will see how close I can get towards the end!

So this was a CRAZY year for us...We went to Springfield for our Best Friends 30th Birthday! ( Crap we are getting old...well he is)...Then Matt and Katie came up to KC so we came home and had fun w/ them...on actual Memorial Day we took the Kids to see Shrek 3 or 4 (which ever one is at the theatre) we don't take the kids that often so they were SUPER EXCITED! It was FUN....

Me and Adam have been married for FIVE years!! In the last five years we have had two kids, five cars, one dog, moved five times, built three houses,two family deaths, went on two just for fun vacations, been in four different wards, sold one of our homes, rented out two, and the list goes on....Adam is amazing and I can't wait to see what the next FivE years have in store! Fishing at the Farm!~ Well we had a GREAT time in Springfield this weekend! We started off by going out to the Farm and fishing and heating hotdogs by the fire, we rode the fourwheeler and just enjoyed being w/ the family and our best friends the Pohlsanders...Saturday The Brady Boys went down the river in canoes and we went back out to the farm for an Easter Egg hunt, It was WAY FUN! That nite we had "Date Night"(the kids stayed w/ grandma) we went to a Hibachi Grill w/ Matt and Katie, Bill and CO, and Mom and Dad Brady! We seriously have the BEST FAMILY EVER! It was tons of Fun~ We are definatly blessed :)

Today I found it interesting the way my little girl and my baby boy were playing together ...Addie was making Gav "muffin cakes" and he would run them over w/ his tractor. Usually this would make Addie mad, but today she was all right w/ it, since they were getting run over, she was able to make more...and so it goes on...I LoVe watching my kids play w/ eachother! This year Adam and I celebrated out Valentines ON Friday...It was so fun! We stayed at a really nice hotel downtown w/ NO KIDS! Which was `Fantastic! Adam had the room decorated beautiful w/ candles, flowers and candy! He is so cute...I didn't take my camera, but I have some pictures on my phone, as soon as i figure out how to upload them I will...These pictures are from Valentines Day, We had a candelight "Chicken Nuggets" Dinner!
